Prithvi specialises in commercial arbitration, investment arbitration, and litigation. He is registered with the Indian Bar and is a Registered Practitioner at the DIFC Courts in Dubai.  He has experience of acting in numerous arbitrations administered by several major institutions including the ICC, LCIA, SCC, PCA, amongst others.  

Prithvi's court experiences include acting for clients in enforcement proceedings, writ actions against state entities, arbitration related court challenges, company law disputes, amongst others. His cases profile cuts across sectors and include shareholder disputes, finance disputes, investment disputes, restitution, energy and natural resources, tortious claims, civil fraud, writ proceedings, and intellectual property claims.  For his disputes work, Prithvi has been recognised as a Future Legal Leader by the Indian Business Law Journal, with clients describing him as “a rising star” possessing “exceptional knowledge, diligence, strategic acumen” and who argues claims “convincingly”.

Previously based in London, Prithvi was associated with a leading international arbitration practice, where he acted for a global clientele in several complex high value international commercial and treaty arbitrations across a range of sectors including oil and gas, telecommunications, infrastructure, construction, and mining.

 

Prithvi recieved his masters degree from the University of Oxford, where he was an OSCI Scholar. At Oxford, he was awarded the Winter Williams Prize by the Faculty of Law and the Trappes Exhibition by Lincoln College. He also holds degrees in Law and Economics from the University of Delhi. Prithvi is enrolled with the Bar Council of India. He has also served on the Steering Committee of the Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce’s Bilateral Arbitration Chamber.  A contributor to journals and publications, Prithvi also accepts arbitral and teaching appointments.
